This course will cover:
- The assessment of periodontal and implant tissues.
- Diagnosis of periodontal and peri-implant conditions and an insight into prognostic tools.
- Steps in managing periodontal disease in general practice both within an NHS and private setting.
- Non-surgical management of periodontal and peri-implant diseases.
- The use of adjunctive to help with initial therapy.
- Multidisciplinary aspects of periodontal and implant treatment
- Factors that help to determine the next steps in the long-term management of your periodontal and implant patients
- Protocols for the long-term maintenance of periodontal and implant patients.
- Evidence-based dentistry. What it means and how this approach can be implemented into clinical practice
At the end of this course you will have:
- Refined your ability in the assessment, diagnosis and management of periodontal and peri-implant conditions
- Refined your clinical skills through practical sessions in a phantom head setting
- Honed your communication skills in relation to periodontal and peri-implant diseases.
- Gained extensive experience with treatment planning complex cases.
- Gained awareness of the most up to date techniques and approaches for the management of periodontal and peri-implant diseases.
- Had experience in reviewing periodontal literature and critically appraising findings.
This course will include:
- Hands-on sessions as part of every day

- The opportunity to see cases planned and treated from experts in the field of periodontics and implant dentistry.
